If you want to spend the winter period in a different way
than usual, in a quiet place, away from the chaos and frenzy of the cities,
divided between small characteristic villages and breathtaking views, Lake Como
is just what you need: in fact the winter season it is notoriously not much
appreciated by tourism, and this is really a good thing if your desire is to
stay in a place where you can take some time for yourself and be inspired by
suggestive places and views that are impossible to find elsewhere!
The whole area surrounding Lake Como is always populated,
unlike many summer tourist destinations in which you won't find a soul in
winter, here you will have at your disposal all the services you will need
every day, in fact practically all the activities are open all year long!
As I told you, however, although the villages are always
populated, you must consider that they are all small villages with few
inhabitants, and just outside them, going towards the mountain, you will find
unspoiled nature. The balance between the comfort and services of the urbanized
area and the unspoiled nature just a few kilometers away is truly perfect!
If you like sports you will certainly appreciate the fact
that you can pass from a walk or a regenerating run by the lake in the morning
to mountain bike ride up to the mountains, walking or snowshoeing reaching the
peaks surrounding the lake to enjoy landscapes that in no other season are so
special and evocative, as well as doing ski mountaineering already after the
first snowfalls in November!

closeness of the main ski resorts of Valtellina and Valchiavenna: Madesimo,
Valmalenco, Bormio, Livigno, where you can enjoy the best winter days just over
an hour from your home!
