The Greenway of Lake Como is a walk of about 10km that takes
tou from Colonno to Cadenabbia, following the” Antica Strada Regina”, away from
the traffic of the roads. These narrow streets that crosses characteristic
villages can only be traveled on foot or by bicycle and thay will permit you to
admire panoramic views of the lake and the surrounding mountains.
During this walk you will pass through seven villages:
starting from Colonno and passing by Sala Comacina, Ossuccio, Lenno, Mezzegra,
Tremezzo and finally arriving in Cadenabbia. The route lasts about 2 hours and
30 minutes, but you will certainly opt to extend this time by stopping to
browse the numerous points of interest that you will find durimg the tour. In
fact, you can get off at Sala Comacina to visit the island, reachable by a taxi
boat, or have a stop in Lenno to visit Villa Balbianello or you can also have a
stop in Tremezzo and do a tour of the gardens of Villa Carlotta, one of the
most beautiful and known villas of the lake for its architecture and its
botanical garden.
