Are you thinking at your next holiday on Lake Como and are you wondering how to reach it travelling by plane?

The nearest airports are:

• Orio al Serio (95 km)
• Milano Malpensa (100 km)
• Milano Linate (110 km)

The best advice we can give you is to rent a car directly at the airport: this allows you to move with the maximum freedom in the entire area surrounding the lake without having problems with times and limits imposed by public transport.

In fact, it will be very difficult that you remain in a limited area for your entire stay: you will move for several kilometers to reaching all the places and hamlets that you absolutely have to visit during your holiday!

Anyway if you prefer to move without a car, there is no problem: you can take a taxi that will take you directly from the airport to your accommodation.

While if you prefer to move by public transport, below you can find the routes that will take you from the airports to the village in which you will stay:

From Orio al Serio:

• Shuttle from the airport to Monza train station. 35min
• Train from Monza to Colico. 1h 10min
• Bus from Colico to the town where you will stay

From Malpensa:

• Train (or shuttle bus) from Milano Malpensa to Milano Centrale station (a train leaves approximately every 15 minutes). 50min
• Train from Milano Centrale to Colico. 1h 25min
• Bus from Colico to the town where you will stay

From Linate:

• Shuttle from the airport to Milano Centrale station. 25min
• Train from Milano Centrale to Colico. 1h 25min
• Bus from Colico to the town where you will stay

Once you arrive at your accommodation to move around the Lake area you will have no problems with public transport: there are many buses that can take you to practically every town between Como, Colico and Lecco, and you can also use boats, hydrofoils and ferries to reach your destinations even by lake!
