The shores of the lake are very varied, in many spots you
can admire the rocks of the mountains ending directly in the water; instead, in
particular near the mouths of the rivers, you can find wide beaches with the
typical pebbles brought from the streams; while on the banks that gently enter
the lake without streams nearby you will find large meadows where you can stay to
sunbathe and relax.
But among all these kind of beaches, there is one in
particular that stands out and differs completely: I'm talking about the beach
called "la punta", due to its position on the edge of the village of
Sorico, at the northernmost point of the lake.
This is in fact the only sandy beach that you can find
around Lake Como, so it seems obvious to tell you that if you are planning to
spend a few days relaxing by the lake this must absolutely be on your list of
the beaches to visit!
Furthermore, if you are passionate about water sports you
will be happy to know that right on this beach there is a windsurfing and
kitesurfing school, in which you can also rent of all the necessary equipment
for these sports as well as canoes, kayaks and SUP boards!
